1/10/23 : Sunlight Shapes The Day available now!

Our third studio album "Sunlight Shapes The Day" is finally out today! It's taken us a long time to get to this point... and we're very happy to finally share it with you :-)

The album follows a day from morning through to midnight. It's a journey from uplifting summer's sunrise, to lazy afternoons, reflective evenings... and then quietly off to sleep.

Search Spotify/iTunes/Amazon/Bandcamp etc for "The Lost Cavalry Sunlight Shapes The Day" or stream or download for free via Bandcamp: thelostcavalry.bandcamp.com/album/sunlight-shapes-the-day

For those of you in London, we are playing an acoustic launch show at The Old Library, New Cross on Sat 14th Oct. And if you'd like to stay in touch with us, Instagram is probably a good bet these days at @thelostcavalry

We hope you are well and life is good!

18/9/23 : Sunlight Shapes The Day

Our third album "Sunlight Shapes The Day" is released on Oct 1st 2023!

The album follows a day from morning to midnight. It's a journey from uplifting summery pop to lazy afternoons, reflective evenings and then quietly off to sleep.

The beautiful cover artwork is by David Atkins - one of a kind, who definitely shaped life his own way.

12/12/22 : Christmas Wish

We finally wrote our very own original Christmas song!

It's called 'Christmas Wish' and you can listen to it (and download it) for free as part of our 'A Cavalry Christmas' album... which we've added a song to every 2 years so far.

14/1/22 : Meissner : Part Two : Warm Music For Winter

A new collaboration album by Mark and Nick from the band, co-written with John Green and various friends. Featuring Ambre Arken on track two vocals. Please listen to this album all the way through, in order - and in headphones late at night.

12/4/21 : Meissner : Part One : The Time And The Place

Started in 2001, added to gradually over 20 years and finally completed in 2021, this is an unplanned and undirected collaboration album by Mark and Nick from the band, co-written with John Green and various friends.

4/12/20 : Stay Another Day

Shall we say it's Christmas now...? Here's this year's Lost Cavalry Christmas Cover... it's a bit of a sad song, sorry about that... and is it a Christmas song? Hmm... not sure, but we've changed one word to the word 'Christmas' so I'm sure our version is :-)

And here are the rest of our Christmas cover songs... all free to download... Happy Christmas from The Lost Cavalry!

20/9/20 : What you Make It - Amber

20 years ago Nick, Simon and Mark from The Lost Cavalry were in a band together at university and on 20th Sep 2000 they completed their first album - which we've now remastered and put up on bandcamp!

It's a record born out of a love of loud guitars, the freedom of university, the crazy emotion of late teens and hours upon hung-over hours of rehearsal in the small, sweaty Warwick Student's Union BandSoc practice room. It's not like The Lost Cavalry... it's a bit lo-fi and very full of angst... but we hope you like it!

1/9/20 : Moscow by Joe Innes & The Cavalcade

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of The Folkroom (the label who released our debut album) we recorded a cover of an incredible song by fellow Folkroom alumni Joe Innes & The Cavalcade - it's an amazing song, we hope we've done it justice! Happy 10 years Folkroom! It's been an honour to be a part of the family! x

13/8/20 : The Rain Dissolves Me Away

A new video for our track The Rain Dissolves Me Away - a song about returning from a long weekend in a festival field and trying to associate yourself with real life again :-) Written after Boomtown Festival in fact... It's sad to have a summer with no festivals this year!

21/7/20 : Family

Mark recently lent his vocal stylings to 'Family', a new puzzle game that you can play here: https://owl-skip.itch.io/family "Family is a puzzle game, based around a forgotten 80s indie music scene. Discover the strange and wonderful music of long-lost bands, while uncovering their stories." ... see if you can spot which tracks :-)
